What is the difference between wide format paper and large format paper ?
The most difference is the person doing the looking. Wide format inkjet paper comes in roll bond inkjet paper sizes for wide format printing - the same goes for large format printing (the wide format and the large format words are often, yet not always, interchangeable). HP large format paper is used often then again Kodak wide format inkjet paper was Kodak's slogan 20 years ago that has not been forgotten. Wide format paper rolls has been used for years also, however, mostly identifying 3 inch core for those users - when the above (inkjet) is a 2 inch core wide format paper.
What is the difference between name brand and other wide format paper?

Why does a large company stop the service on wide format roll paper when they are the ones that pushed that we buy it from them and then they stop supporting it? Do you do that?
There are so many types of papers that run with your wide format printer, therefore, wide format printing papers which complete a good job with good results become the ones which are familiar with and trust. Unfortunate how some companies move from one type of printing model to another and, in turn, offer a different or a replacement paper. Here is an example. Xerox who had been around since day one in the wide format paper society and stopped supporting their 'taped to core paper' for the older models. The 3R5151 could not be found as easy as it was just a week before. Yes, we support this roll bond and we offer it still on the website. I am not sure we will ever stop supporting this paper - there are too many printers that use the taped to core for the breaks of the system.
